Kathy Burden

Kathy co-founded FCRS in 2016 to serve those in crisis and to be a support for First Responders.

The daughter-in-law of a Law Enforcement Officer killed in the line of duty, led her to pursue a degree from Dallas Baptist College in Law Enforcement. She is currently a trainer for the International Fellowship of Chaplains and also serves as their Chief Operations Officer.

She holds certificates of specialized training with the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation for Spiritual Care in Crisis Intervention and also C-CISM. Kathy also serves on the ICISF Crisis Intervention Team and the IFOC Crisis Response Team for Texas.

Kathy has over thirty years’ experience in biblical counseling, chaplaincy and working in crisis intervention with businesses, first responders and trauma survivors.

Shahidrah Cowgill has served in the mental health field for 20-years, is licensed by the State of Texas as an LPC-Supervisor, and is nationally certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors. She is the founder of Fundamental Foundations Counseling Center, headquartered in Little Elm, TX offering support to children, teens, adults, couples, and families through in-office and telehealth support. Her practice employs innovative and community oriented solutions to help clients Recover, Live & Thrive. Through concierge and membership services, her clinic is focused on changing the status quo of mental health services in the community.

Mrs. Cowgill has worked with clients of all ages addressing issues of relationship struggles, mood & anxiety issues, trauma recovery, life transitions, grief and loss, faith-based support, and more. She specializes in advanced and intensive Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing strategies to help people find lasting relief after complex trauma-related experiences.

In 2016, she co-founded Frontline Crisis Response Solutions, a 501(c)3 nonprofit promoting emotional wellness and resilience through training and support services for first responders. As the Director of Clinical Programs she has developed a robust nationwide program that supports Survivors of Suicide Loss through the grief and traumatic loss journey. Shahidrah is a PhD doctoral candidate in Psychology specializing in Disaster Relief and Trauma. Beyond the scope of her clinical work, Mrs. Cowgill is an author, speaker, coach, & mentor. She has been married for 16 years and is the mother of two beautiful children.

William Wooten

William Wooten is a Chief Financial Officer at Ferris Independent School District, where he leads the school district finances. He provides high quality support services to students, parents, and employees through effective management of fiscal resources in the areas of school district Financial Management. William Wooten has been a public servant for 28 years. He has served in various roles to include, but not limited to, Director of Business & Financial Services, Executive Director of Operations, Director of Manpower Management,  Director of Federal Budget Programs, Director of Logistics and a United States Naval Officer. William Wooten’s education include graduated education training at Harvard Extension School in accounting and finance, Prairie View A&M training in business where he tutored students in corporate finance, Naval Postgraduate School where he was confirmed as a graduate of Financial Management. In addition to theoretical training, William has practical experience teaching foundation of financial management for Northwood University. William Wooten’s source of strength is family and God. He has been married to Heather Negri-Wooten for 28 years. Heather and William are high-school sweethearts. Heather is a middle school English Language Arts Teacher and a graduated of Southern Methodist University. He has three amazing children, Deanthony, Journi, and Caleb who he teaches to discover their God-given path through continuous belief and exposure. Trust and Believe God.

Linda Rounds is a business owner and HR Consultant.  Linda currently serves on the advisory board at her church, where she utilizes her business background to give input on high-level decisions.  She also serves as a volunteer in the youth department and on the welcome team.  In addition, Linda is very active in our community.  She serves as board member and Treasurer for the Frisco Ice Hockey Association, and volunteers for a non-profit organization that reunites families with international adoptees.  She has also attended many chaplaincy classes through the International Fellowship of Chaplains, with a focus on PTSD.  She loves the sun and traveling to beach destinations, spending time with family, going to dinner with friends, and attending hockey games.
